Rev. Levi Hart, 51, died at 1:45 a.m. last Thursday, March 20, 1952 at his home in Mansfield following a lingering illness. Funeral services were held Sunday in the Nazarene Church in Mansfield with burial in DeLand cemetery.
He was born April 21, 1901 in Kentucky, s/o Elihu and Sarah Hart. On October 30, 1924 he married Leoria Johnson of Russell Springs KY. They came to near Mansfield 22 years ago and for the past five years he has been the Nazarene minister at Mahomet. He was one of 17 children.
Surviving are his wife; four children: Mrs. Zelma Brown, Mrs. Wilma Miller and Mrs. Mary Williams, all of Mansfield; and Private Wilbert Thomas Hart (1931-2002) ; his mother; two sisters: Mrs. Zella Britton and Mrs. Elsie Sparks, both of Leroy; nine brothers: Ovale, Jesse, Ruel, Dewey, Dexter, Edison and Carl, all of Leroy; Freeman of Anderson IN; and Esco of Russell Springs KY.
