Abbie J. LaRoche donated an acre of land for an Episcopal chapel. In 1907, a small chapel was established, named the Chapel of Ease to Christ Church, Adam's Run. In 1925, this chapel was reorganized as a separate parish becoming St. Paul's Meggett, in honor of the mother church of the area, the original St. Paul's Stono. The land on which this cemetery is located was originally the LaRoche family cemetery. It was part of Laurel Hill (also called Dairy Hill) where Abbie and her family lived. You will find the same cemetery listed as Christ Saint Pauls Cemetery, Christ-Saint Pauls Episcopal Churchyard, Saint Pauls Episcopal Church Cemetery, and Laurel Hill (all the same place)
