Mabry Joe Brock, 72, of McKinney, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Dec. 30, 2008, after fighting a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Burial will be in Willow Cemetery in Haskell at 10 a.m. Friday, followed by a celebration of life service at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Haskell.

Mabry was born May 29, 1936, in Haskell, to Robert L. and Lamiza Brock. He was a graduate of Texas Tech University and the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at SMU. Mabry was a banker in Lubbock and Shallowater for many years as well as several other areas of Texas. Following his banking career, he was employed in the General Land Office of the State of Texas for a number of years.

Mabry is survived by his wife of 48 years, Bobbie Brock. Also surviving are his son, Lane Brock and his wife, Kimberley, of Plano; his daughter, Jill Wedding of Plano; and granddaughter, Taylor Wedding, of Plano. Mabry is survived by siblings Lonnie Brock and June Bowen, of Lubbock, Robert Brock, of Big Spring, and Jim Brock, of Amarillo.

Mabry is predeceased by a brother, Ben Brock, and sister, Lela Pettit. Mabry has a host of nieces and nephews, all of whom were very special to him.

In lieu of flowers, memorials or contributions can be made in Mabry's memory to the charity of your choice.
