Evert Verlin Carmin, 72, former Hoisington Ks. resident, died at Halstead Hospital. Born Oct. 1, 1901, at Hartford City, Ind, the son of Charles Carmin, he married Ruby Shannon on Dec. 31, 1927, at Scott City, and is the father of 13 children.
Evert was a retired oil pumper and had lived at Fort Dodge for 2 years.
Survivors include, sons: Charles, Ellinwood; Everett, Hays; Keith, Denver, Colo.; Larry and Dean, Tulsa, Okla.; James, Hutchinson, Ks.; and Mark, USN, Long Beach, Ca.; daughters: Mrs. Louise Kennedy, Valley Center; Mrs. Joyce Gordon and Mrs. Connie Schrock, Hutchinson; Mrs. Carrol Walborn, Tonganoxie; Brother, Donnie of East Gary, Ind.; 23 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
