He married Fanny Bemis and they had one child, Louis Oristes Gallea b. in 1830. He next married Clarissa White who died in 1891. They had one child, Harriet Ann Gallea b. 1833. Clarissa died in Henderson, NY, but have been unable so far to find her burial location.
