Funeral services for S.A. Anderson, 83, of LaRue wee held Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Union Station AME Church with the Rev. G. L. Haggerty, Rev. Charles Smith, and Rev. H.L. Wallace officiating.
Burial was in the Betherl Cemetery, under direction of George W. Tucker & Son Funeral Home of Athens, Members of the McDonald Lodge No. 109 served as pallbearers.
Mr. Anderson died Friday morning of last week in an Athens hospital following a brief illness.
He was born in LaRue on January 4, 1901. He was a farmer, and was a member of the Union Station AME Church, and also a member of the McDoanald Lodge No. 109.
He is survived by his wife, Littie Anderson of LaRue; two sisters, Lula Allen of LaRue and Mattie Anderson of Athens.
