Eunice Marie Hamilton
- Eunice Marie Hamilton, 92, of Beckley, went to be with the Lord at 2:05 a.m. Sunday, April 22, 2001, at the Hilltop Health Care Center at Hilltop from natural causes.
Born Sept. 21, 1908, at Ansted, she was the daughter of the late Hannah Jane Buckland and James Alan Buckland.
- Mrs. Hamilton was a well-known seamstress for 35 years in the Beckley area and was a member of the Church of Christ * at Prosperity. She was very active in church affairs until ill health in her later years.
- She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson Howard Hamilton; two children, James Howard Hamilton and June Leah Hamilton Watts; five grandchildren, James Hamilton, Roberta Caldwell Watts, William Fleming Watts Jr., Mary Beth Watts, and Michael McClure Watts; and one sister, Cora Buckland Peterson.
- Survivors include four grandchildren, Danny Wilson Hamilton and wife, Terry, of Clermont, Fla., Elizabeth Hamilton Aldrich Fristche and husband, Robert, of Evergreen, Colo., Betsy Watts Gillian and husband, Charles B., of Grandview, Melissa Watts Waugh and husband, Joseph C., of Chesapeake, Ohio; 12 great-grandchildren, Charles Richard Gillian, William Watts Gillian, Stephan Michael Gillian, Joshua Fleming Waugh, Zachery Robert Waugh, Tisha Hamilton, Amber Hamilton, Shane Hamilton, Chance Hamilton, Drew Aldrich, Marielle June Aldrich, and Danielle Fristche; three great-great-grandchildren, Gage Barron Gillian, Devvin Lynn Gillian, and Stevie JoAnna Gillian.
- Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley with the Rev. Don Sparks officiating. Burial will follow at the Kidd Cemetery at Prosperity.
- Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
