Sacred to the memory of Sarah Margaret Almy, who died October 25 at her home in Lyons township. She was born in New York state in 1850 on the shores of the old Senaca Lake, where she spent several happy years. She was married to Geo. W. Almy in 1868. When 19 years of age she was converted, being baptized in Senaca Lake.

They came to Michigan in 1879, locating near Collins and uniting with the Baptist church of that place. She was esteemed as a true and constant worker and won the hearts of all she met. She and her husband joined the Lyons Baptist church in 1906, and she was an active member of the ladies aid society.

Deceased is survived by a father, Geo. Briggs, a husband and three sons, Geo. O. Almy, Lyman Almy and Elmer Almy, all being at her bedside when she departed.

Funeral was held Sunday at the Baptist church, Rev. Mr. Henn officiated. Interment in the Keefer Cemetery.
