Opal was a women raised in the hills of Kentucky during the Great Depression. Her father died early in her life and she always spoke of him with fond memories.
Her mom died when she was 11, leaving her sister Pebble and family to care for her. It wasn't long before she was caring for herself, moving to Chicago and having 2 children.
She was a tough lady who never forgot her family and in that sense was the foundation of that family. She is missed.
