Hubert A. Bankson, 76, of Warrensburg died Monday (July 29, 2002) in Decatur.
Private graveside services will be Thursday in Boiling Springs Cemetery. There will be no visitation. J.J. Moran & Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Hubert was born September 5, 1925, in Decatur, the son of William Paul and Florence (McCord) Bankson. He married Marilyn N. Albin on December 24, 1944, in First United Methodist Church.
He was a livestock farmer for more than 50 years in the Warrensburg area and a member of the First United Methodist Church. Hubert and Marilyn delivered clothes, shoes and medical supplies to the less fortunate in Mexico, Henderson, KY., Arkansas and Arizona for 24 years.
Surviving are his wife; daughters, Carol Keiser of Champaign; Sheila Woodruff of Carlinville; sons, Dwain Bankson and wife Ruth Ann of Alden, IA.; Kim Bankson and wife Susan of Warrensburg; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Jack Bankson and wife Barbara of Decatur.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
