CALCUTTA Mable P. Adkins Sias, 86, of Maple Drive, died Monday, December 29, 2008, at 8:29 p.m. at the Medical Center in Beaver following a brief illness.

Born in Hager, West Virginia, December 3, 1922, she was a daughter of the late James Ephraim and Erma Mae Adkins. A resident of this area nearly all of her life, she was a life-long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in the Primary, Mutual, and the Relief Society organizations. Her greatest enjoyment in life was being a wife, mother, and grandmother.

A 1942 graduate of East Liverpool High School, she was a member of the East Liverpool High School Alumni Association.

She worked as a welder at Curtis Wright during World War II and also previously worked at Louthan Manufacturing and the Homer Laughlin China Company.

She married Marion D. Sias on December 22, 1945 and they were later sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They enjoyed 63 wonderful years together.

In addition to her husband, other survivors include a daughter, Bonnie Weeks, and her husband Kerry, of Beaver, Pennsylvania, and a son, Marion Delfe Sias, Jr., and his wife Debbie, of Elkton.

There are four grandchildren, Matthew Sias, Megan Weeks, Tyler Weeks and Haley Weeks, along with three great-grandchildren, Hunter, Wyatt and Riley Sias as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda Sias, an infant son, a sister, Mildred "June" Ice and two brothers, James "Junior" Adkins and Clyde B. Adkins.

Friends may call at the Dawson Funeral Home Thursday where the family will be present from 4 to 8 p.m. Services will be conducted Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 7160 State Route 45, Lisbon.

Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery.

Following the service, family and friends will gather at the Dawson Family Center for fellowship.
