Funeral services for George W. Anders, 71, 110 John St., will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Murphy Mortuary, with the Rev. Bill Horner officiating.
Mr. Anders was taken to W.S.Major Hospital Friday afternoon and died shortly thereafter. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery with a graveside service by the Eagles Lodge.
A retired employee of Certainteed Corp., Mr. Anders was a member of the Eagles and F.O.P. Lodges.
Born March 7, 1911 at Milford, he was the son of Shedrick and Bertha (Clingenteel) Anders. He was married Oct. 23, 1931 in Martinsville to Helen I. Rutherford, who died July 27, 1975.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Wallace (Marilyn) Brokering, Shelbyville; a son, Robert Dale Anders, Shelbyville; four grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Eleanor Luther, Shelbyville. A daughter preceded in death.
Friends may call at the mortuary after 4 p.m. Sunday.
