Carrie L (Noack) Smith was born the daughter of James and Anna (Kottke) Noack on December 27, 1908 in Clayton Iowa. She passed away Sunday, November 19, 2006, at the Guttenberg Care Center. Carrie received her education locally and was a homemaker for several years.
On June 8, 1929 she was united in marriage with Ernest Smith in Garber. Her wishes were to donate her body to the Department of Anatomy at the University of Iowa College. Services will be held at a later date.
She is survived by her son in law Leland Tomkins of Guttenberg, two grandchildren Shelia and Terry Tomkins; two great-grandchildren Nicole and Nathan Tomkins.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ernest; one daughter Gloria SMITH-TOMKINS; eight siblings, Harry, Roy, Ella, Clay, Galen, Howard, Dean Noack and Viola Schlake.
