MUNCIE - Lois "Aunt Toie" P. McNees, 92, died Tuesday, December 23, 2008, at The Waters of Yorktown following an extended illness.


She was born in Mitchell, Indiana, March 24, 1916, the daughter of George F. and Candace (Pridemore) Cooper. She graduated from Mitchell High School in 1936 and attended Muncie Business College.

Lois was a member of Emanuel Church of the Nazarene and had worked for Munsyana Homes Housing Authority for 17 years as secretary and bookkeeper. She also worked for Glascocks, Warner Gear and Mutual Security Finance Company.

Survivors include, several nieces and nephews one of which is Evelyn "Cookie" Wegesin, (husband, Daniel), Daleville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, eleven sisters and three brothers.

Services will be held 2:30 p.m. Saturday, December 27, 2008, at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel, with Rev. Keith Kelly officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, north of Muncie.
