DEXTER -- John William Brehmer, 63, died Dec. 28, 2008, at his home.
Born June 27, 1945, in Alva, Okla., to the late Elmer W. and Lillie Looney Brehmer, he was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Dexter where he served as head elder. A former member of the Citizen Bank Board of Directors and owner of Brehmer Fertilizer in Dexter, he helped with the leadership of the 4-H program and the Stoddard County Extension Council for many years.
On Sept. 3, 1966, at Fairmont, Okla., he married Marilyn Heitfeld, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, J.T. and Monie Brehmer of Dexter; one daughter, Julie Brehmer of Sringfield; one brother, Jerry Brehmer of Dexter; one sister, Beth Bliese of Jackson; and three grandchildren.
Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter. Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Faith Lutheran Church at Dexter with the Rev. Adam Mueller officiating.
Burial will follow in the Chalk Bluff Cemetery.
