Verna Belle Suttle, of Rt. 1, Eubank, died Monday, April 24, 1978 at Wayne County Hospital, Monticello, following an illness of several months. She was 79.
Born in Estesburg, Pulaski, KY on April 30, 1898, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Neatie Warren Acton. She was married March 4, 1917 to Lester S. Suttle. He preceded her in death May 8, 1962.
She was a homemaker, and a member of the Etna Church of Christ.
Surviving are a half-brother, Bruce R. Acton, Eustis, Fla.; a sister, Manie Estes and step-sister Agnes Epperson.
Funeral services were held Thursday, April 27, in the chapel of Morris and Hislope Funeral Home, Loraine Wilson, Hugh Thomas and Paul Johnson officiating. Burial was in Good Hope Cemetery.
