Bertie N. Argo, 87, died Feb. 25, 2006, at Dillon Living Center, Hutchinson.

She was born Oct. 31, 1918, in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Leo and Ferle Mary Harlan Cross. She was a retired Reno County Courthouse clerk and later worked for the city of Hutchinson.

She belonged to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. On April 19, 1947, she married Lynn S. Argo in Folkston, Ga. He died Nov. 7, 1993.

Survivors include: a son, Jack L. and his wife, Margaret; two sisters, Pat Boatwright, Des Moines, Iowa, and Mary Jane Jones, St. Petersburg, Fla; two grandchildren, Margo L. Argo, Hutchinson, and Gary L. Argo, Kansas City; and a great-granddaughter, Natalie L. Galliart, Hutchinson. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jackie Argo.

Cremation has taken place. There will be no public services or visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Hospice Care of Kansas or the Cancer Council of Reno County, all in care of Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.
