Frank L. was the son of Obadiah I. and Lydia (Gowen) Durgin. He married Lucy M. Phillips, dau of Dr. Jeremiah and Hannah C. Phillips, in Hillsdale, MI, Aug.6, 1877, by Prof. Ransom Dunn, D.D., of Hillsdale College, of which he graduated. He also was graduated from Adelbert Medical College, Cleveland, OH, Mar. 15, 1882.
They soon moved to Minnesota, where they taught and raised a family, a son, Donald Phillips Durgin. Many of Lucy's family (eleven siblings) served as Freewill Baptist doctor/missionaries to Orissa Province, Belasore, India. (if any add'l info, plse contact me).
