Dr. Henson Barrett, 59, died Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at his residence in Rincon, Georgia. He was born June 17, 1949, a son of Wilbur Barrett and Maggie Jewel Morey Barrett.

The Colquitt county native was the owner of Barrett Chiropractic Clinic in Hardeeville. He was a member of the Lions Club, Jasper County School Improvement Committee, Library Committee, and the Small Business Association. He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Debbie Thomas Barrett of Rincon, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Ross Nelson of Charleston; grandson, Zach Nelson of Charleston; sister, JoAnn of Tennessee; brothers, Kenny, Thomas, and Larry all of Florida; and a number of nieces and nephews.

The relatives and friends of Dr. and Mrs. Robert H. Barrett are invited to attend his funeral services at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, Saturday afternoon, August 9, 2008, at two o'clock. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel Friday afternoon from five until seven o'clock.
