Marie Ann Grindinger, 94, went home to God on December 27, 2008 at her home. Her parents, Mary and Max Gumminger preceded her in death, as did her husband, Aloysius J. (Ollie) Grindinger, Jr. and grandson Timothy Holleron.

Marie was a graduate of Redemptorist High School. She was employed at the Commerce Bank Executive Dining Room for 35 years, serving "my boys" as she called the executive and their guests. Marie was active in her churches, she loved sewing and all other homemaking skills, but, most of all she loved polka dancing and was very proud of her German heritage.

She is survived by her daughters, Martha Holleron Straub (Ernie), Carole Kohler (John); five grandchildren, six step grandchildren, several great and great great-grandchildren.

Services will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 30th at Redemptorist Church, 3333 Broadway, KCMO. Visitation at 12:00 p.m. with Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 p.m. followed by a luncheon at the church. Burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, KCMO. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Redemptorist Church, The Nativity of Mary Church, 10017 E. 36th Terrace, KCMO 64133 or Little Sisters of the Poor, 8745 James A. Reed Rd, KCMO 64138.
