Jerry Franklin Boring, 79, former Indiana County farmer, died at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon at his home near Mundy's Corner, Jackson Township, after an illness of several months. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Evangelical Church in Uniontown, Indiana County, Rev. Herbert Rager of Jackson Township and Rev. Tyson, pastor, to officiate. Interment will be in the church cemetery, directed by Carl E. Davis, Conemaugh mortician. The cortege will leave the Boring home at 1:30 o'clock for the church.

Jerry F. Boring was born near Uniontown, Indiana County, a son of Reuben and Mary (Stiffler) Boring. He operated a farm for many years, moving to Jackson Township upon his retirement about three years ago. Mr. Boring is survived by his widow, Mrs. Melseon (Stump) Boring, and these children: Lawrence Boring, Jackson Township; Mrs. Adam Dearmin, Jackson Township; Thomas R. Boring, Twin Rocks; Mrs. Howard Patrick, Twin Rocks, and Mrs. Francis Kirtley, Tanneryville. There are 22 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
