Entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of February 19, 2002, Naomi Parrish Disher, widow of John Henry "Jack" Disher, Jr. Residence, Charleston, S.C. The relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services, Friday, at 11 a.m., in St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. Interment, Bethany Cemetery. Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL, Thursday, between 5 and 7 o'clock.
Mrs. Disher was born April 14, 1920, in Danville, Va., the daughter of Jesse B. Parrish and Pearlie Mae Scearce Parrish. She was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, the Charleston Lions Club Auxiliary and the Country Club of Charleston.
She is survived by two sons, John H. Disher, III, of Sullivans Island, and Thomas P. Disher of Mount Pleasant, S.C.; two daughters, Joan D. Wood of Summerville, S.C., and Mary Anna Disher of Charleston, S.C.; one sister, Mamie P. Southard of Danville, Va.; four grandchildren, Whitney Popelka, Bryan Turnbull, Parrish Wood and Thomas Disher; one great-grandson, Jack Popelka.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, 405 King St., Charleston, S.C. 29403.
