CHARLES FRANKLIN
Charles Franklin, 83, 557 Chicago, died at 1 p.m. Friday at Porter Memorial hospital after an extended illness. He was born Oct. 25, 1876, at Pancoastburg, O., son of George and Albertine (Edwards) Franklin.
He came to Valparaiso 12 years ago from Covington, Ky., and was employed by the Continental Diamond Fibre corporation.
Surviving are one son, Charles, Valparaiso; three daughters, Mrs. Frances Tabeling, North Hollywood, Cal., and Mrs. Anne Niequist, and Mrs. Martha Williams, Valparaiso; six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at the Bartholomew Funeral home with the Rev. Duane Schroeder officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Sunday.
