A service station operator fired a shotgun blast through the closed door of a bedroom in his home yesterday afternoon and killed a young county police officer who was investigating a domestic dispute. The officer was Patrolman Harry H. Akins, 25, of 313 Drayton Arms. He had served on the force since October 1, 1961.
