Funeral services for Miss Johanna Crass, 2536 Race Street, a resident of Denver for 59 years, will be held in the Olinger Mortuary, Speer Blvd, and Sherman Street, at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow.
Miss Crass died in the Red Cross Hospital at Salida, Colorado, Wednesday after an attack of pneumonia.
She was born in San Francisco, June 4, 1859, and was a direct descendant of the French Admiral Francisco Joseph Paul DeGrasse and Marquise DeGrasse-Tilly, who aided the United States against the British in the seige of New York in 1781.
An extensive property owner in Saguache, Colorado, Miss Crass spent considerable time on the western slope.
Surviving are two brothers, H.W. Crass, of Denver, and Frederick C. Crass, of Washington, D.C., a sister, Mrs. Julia M. House, of Glendo, Wyoming; a niece, Mrs. Rose Neinhaus, a grand-niece, Mrs. Josephine Hutson, both of Denver, and eight nephews, six grand-nephews, and seven grand-nieces. Miss Johanna "Anna" Crass, resided in the household of William Barth, of Denver, Colorado, where she worked as his faithful houskeeper for many years. She was there at 2460 Welton Street on the day of his death, 17 December 1914, and she was kindly remembered by him in his will.
