Silas Dodd was the son of Millard and Lucinda Dodd. He migrated to western N. Dakota from Iowa in the early 1900's and later settled at Detroit Lakes, MN. He married Delpha Hartman on 12 July 1904 in Iowa. They had 13 children: William, Leslie, Clarence, Doris, Victor, Ross, Marie, Frankie, Leonard, Hazel, Esther, Martha & Clifford. He is an older brother to my grandfather, William Henry Dodd of Iowa.
