Services were Tuesday afternoon at the Crable Funeral Home for Floyd T. Hepworth, 82, Osage City, who died Saturday at his home of an apparent heart attack.

He was born May 15, 1894, near Burlingame. He had lived in Osage City most of his life.

After attending business college in Topeka, Mr. Hepworth was employed by the Burlingame State Bank. He also served as Clerk of the District Court of Osage County in Lyndon. Later owned a real estate and insurance business in Osage City and retired in 1973.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Osage City. He was also a 50 year member of Signal Lodge 141, a 25 year member of the Kiwanis and had served several years on the school board, all in Osage City.

Mr. Hepworth was married to Bessie Hays on May 28, 1927. She died in 1961. He later married Edna Benton on Nov. 23, 1963. She survives.

Also surviving is a sister, Mrs. Viola Bolton, Topeka; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Louis Kenner, Topeka; and two step-grandchildren.

Burial was in the Osage City Cemetery.
