Niels Osen, Cedar Ridge

"Flu" claimed another victim on Wednesday when Niels Olsen, Cedar Ridge, aged 65, was stricken. The disease made rapid progress and a few hours after being stricken he died. He leaves a wife, who is also stricken with the disease, two sons and four daughters. The sons are Wilford and Dan who live with their parents at Cedar Ridge; the daughters are Mrs. Jess Washburn of Monroe. Dora Olsen, who is at her aunts home in Richfield Mrs. Grames, stricken with "flu"; Idonna, at home at Cedar Ridge and Mary, who lives at Payson. Mrs. Olsen is a sister to C.B. Jensen of this city and she is dangerously ill at the home, and was not informed of the death of her husband.

A story of the death of Mr. Olsen's and his body been lying by the side of his sick wife for hours with no one aware of his death, was in circulation, but there is no foundation for this foolish story. Two sons and a daughter were at home and were at their father's side when death came.
