STANFORD - Gracie Marie Phillips, 76, of Stanford died Monday, Dec 15, 2008 at Good Samaritan Hospital.

Born Oct. 31, 1932, in Lincoln County, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Elizabeth Martin Griffin. She was co-owner and operator of Phillips Billiards and Snack Bar for 14 years and a member of Blue Lick Baptist Church. She was the widow of Harry Foster Phillips (1929-2008) .

Survivors include three sons, Wayne Phillips (Margaret), Carl "Gene" Phillips (Angie) and Rodney Phillips (Kathie), all of Stanford; two brothers, Jack and Eddie Griffin, both of Stanford; five sisters, Martha Padgett of Waynesburg, Gladys Harrison of Danville, and Freda Coleman, Maxine Scharbrough and Barbara Ann Foley, all of Stanford; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 19, 2008, at Spurlin Funeral Home, officiated by the Rev. Wayne Stephens. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

Casketbearers will be Steve Pruitt, Gary Phillips, Clay Davis, Jayme Phillips, Jimmy Wayne Hazlett and Kenny Stamper. Honorary bearers are Dr. Glenn Click, Karen Click, Kieth Phillips, Jeremy, Brian, Chrystal, Tyler, Jessica, Kallie, Bryce and Alyssa Phillips, and Kaylee Fitzpatrick.
