She married James H. Jack in Warren County on May 15, 1825, and was the 2nd of his three wives.
Mary's father, Christian, sent her brother, Charles John SELLERS, to Parke County, Indiana, in the late 1820s to speculate for land while he (Christian) remained in Warren County, Ohio. In or about 1832, after settling the estate of his own father, Adam SELLERS, who had died in April 1821, Christian and wife, Mary A. Elizabeth (Schneider) Sellers removed to Parke County, Indiana. Mary and husband James H. JACK went with her parents bringing along their own children.
Upon his death on October 13, 1841, Christian Sellers willed to his son-in-law, James H. Jack, some 320 acres of the 2,240 that he and son, Charles John Sellers, had purchased in Parke County. Upon this land, together with what James had put together himself, Mary (Sellers) Jack raised her family of five children: Martin S. Jack, John Thomas Jack, Adam Sellers Jack, Mary E. Jack, and Elizabeth Jane Jack.
Mary remained on the homestead until her death on April 7, 1872, at the age of 66.
