A Catholic by faith and a resident of Penfield, he was a coal miner by profession. Neal was the husband of Ann L. Carlson Buganza. He was the father of Carl W. Buganza, Karen Marie Buganza, and Barbara Buganza. Neal died in Pennsylvania in 1973 when he was 68 years old.
