Bobbie Lee, born March 29, 1930, lived a full and happy life, returning to his hometown of Harrison 10 years ago to be close to family and friends. He was a loving husband, devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather, and a loyal friend.
Bobbie Lee, a graduate of Harrison High School in 1949, was proud to be an Old Time Goblin as well as previously being named an honorary captain of the Harrison High School Goblins in 2004. He would feel honored to have memorial contributions made to the Harrison High School football team, c/o Coach Tom Tice, 925 Goblin Drive, Harrison, Ark. 72601.
Bobbie Lee honorably served on active duty in the Korean war with the United States Navy from 1949 to 1954. During his time served, he was assigned to the USS Gurke (DD-783) as a fire control man.
Bobbie Lee devoted many years of employment to Bank of America. During his 25-year career, Bobbie Lee, his wife Lucretia and daughter Stacy had the privilege of spending three years service in Singapore. After retirement with Bank of America, he then continued his career in motor home sales at RV World in Nokomis, Fla. until his final retirement upon returning to Harrison.
Bobbie Lee leaves his loving wife of 55 years, Lucretia (Roberts) McClure; one son, John McClure and wife Alma of Shell Knob, Mo.; three daughters, Victoria McClure of Asheville, N.C., Sandra Ramirez and husband Pete of San Jose, Calif. and Stacey Martinez and husband Rod of Sarasota, Fla.; eight grandchildren, Leanne Campagna, Sebastian Campagna, Phillip Silva, Michelle Silva, Crystal Bowen, Mikayla Martinez, Dylan McClure and Nicole McClure; three great-grandchildren, Sage Campagna, Drake Tomlinson and Ahnika Campagna; two brothers, Dean McClure and wife Deloris of Brazil and Dudley McClure of Diamond City; two nephews, Edmond McClure and Patrick McClure; two nieces, Michelle Hale and Susan Choate; and many other loving relatives and friends.
Bobbie Lee was preceded in death by his father and mother, Charles Edmond and Goldie Mae (Daniel) McClure and one son, Michael McClure.
Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 26, at Holt Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Robert Shaddox officiating. Honorary pallbearers include the regulars at the Coffee-N-More daily Coffee Club, Charles Klepper, MD and and Ali Abdelaal, MD. A private burial will be at Maplewood Cemetery following the memorial service.
