He was the husband of Joan Marie (Boyd) Bolchoz. Born on January 15, 1937 in Charleston, SC the son of the late Eugene R. Bolchoz, II, and Louise Bolchoz (nee Heaton).
He attended Bishop England High School and received an Associate Degree in Arts from Trident Technical College.
He was a veteran of the US Air Force, worked at the Charleston Navy Yard and recently retired from the ILA Waterfront. He was a member of Local Union 1771 having served as president and vice president. He also won the Senior Golf Tournament of Charleston.
He enjoyed golf, fishing and literature. He was predeceased by his brother Abney Bolchoz. He will be deeply missed by his wife Joan; four daughters: Leslie Queen, Beth Bolchoz, Michel Bolchoz-Mason and Wynter Bolchoz; seven sons: Robert Joyner, Rick Szala, Cole Bolchoz, Eugene Bolchoz, IV, Richard O'Toole, James Mason and Frank Jordan; three sisters: Mary Tallant, Peggy Morrison and Collie Bolchoz; brother: Timothy Bolchoz; sixteen grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM with the Rosary being recited at 6PM on Tuesday, December 30, 2003 at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, Goose Creek Chapel, 100 S. Goose Creek Blvd., (Hwy 52), Goose Creek. The Liturgy of Christian
Burial will be held at 2PM on Wednesday, December 31, 2003 at St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church, 1404 Old Hwy 52, Moncks Corner. Interment will follow at Whispering Pines Cemetery, 3044 Old Hwy 52, Moncks Corner.
