Oscar Van Etta, aged 75 years, died on Wednesday at the Ogdensburg hospital, where he had been ill of pneumonia for the last four weeks. He was a former resident of Canajoharie and for many years he resided in Utica, where he was well known.

He is survived by his widow. The body will be brought to this village and the funeral held at the home of Robert Ayre on West Main street Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Rev. William M. Baum, D. D., pastor of St. Mark's Lutheran church, will conduct the service. Burial will be in Prospect Hill cemetery.

Oscar Van Etta, 74, Passes Away in Ogdensburgh Hospital
CANAJOHARIE—Oscar Van Etta, native of Canajoharie well remembered by the older residents, died on Wednesday evening, March 25 at the State Hospital at Ogdensburgh of pnemounia after an illness of a few days. Deceased for several years has resided at Watertown and has been a patient at the hospital for the past four weeks. Deceased was about 74 years of age and was born in Canajoharie a son of Peter and Elizabeth Van Etta. His education was obtained in the schools of this place, where he resided for many years. For some years, he resided in Utica and some years ago went to Watertown to reside. He was a member of the Moose Lodge of Utica.

The remains were motored here on Friday afternoon and taken to the home of his brother-in-law, Robert N. Eyre at 98 West Main street, where the funeral will be held this afternoon at 2 and the interment will be in Prospect Hill cemetery. Rev. William M. Baton, Jr. D. D. of St. Mark's Lutheran church will officiate.
