GIBBS FUNERAL SUNDAY
Aged Urbana Resident Dead After Two Years of Suffering-Interment at Petersburg.
Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon from the home of Carlos Renfrew, for John Underwood Gibbs, and aged resident of Urbana who died Saturday morning at the home of his sister, Miss Jessie Gibbs, in the Orlando apartments. He was 85 years of age. Mr Gibbs was born on Aug 22 1832 and on Nov. 1867 he married Elizabeth Lukins who died in Dec 1884. To this union seven children were born all passing away in infancy except, Mrs Maud Biggs who died on Mar. 9 1910 and Miss Jessie Gibbs. The decendent had been an invalid for several months. He was a member of the Presbyterian church until moving to Farmer City when he united with the Mt. Olive Methodish Episcopal church.
