My mother was an only child but she was raised with her mother's 11 brothers and sisters (2 had died as infants) My mom and dad were married 1 Feb 1931 in Lindsay, Oklahoma. Mom and dad moved to California around 1936. They lived in a tent with a dirt floor in Arvin. Dad eventually became the foreman on the Wasco Ranch in Wasco, California. They had 3 children, 1 boy and 2 girls. They divorced in 1946. Dad remarried but mom never did. This is just the tip of my mom's story. There is lots more to tell and some not to tell. Like most families there are a few skeletons in the closet.
