Mrs. Joyce was retired from Manteno State Hospital. She was born the daughter of William and Hulda Larson Evans. She was a member of the Manteno American Legion Auxiliary Post 755 and the Home Extension Association. She enjoyed politics, basketball, baseball and spending time with family and friends.
Surviving are her husband, Michael J. Joyce, of Manteno, whom she married Jan. 24, 1945, in Essex; three daughters and one son-in-law, Patty and Pat Mickler of Bradley, Jean Joyce of Manteno, Julie Wood of Valkaria, Fla.; three grandchildren, Michael Wood and his fiancee, Gwyn Pharis, Davey Wood and Jacob Wood; brothers and sisters-in-law, Kathleen Martin of Peru, Frank and Bo Joyce of Cumming, Ga., Mike and Eileen Seymour of Eau Claire, Wis., Liz Joyce of St. Robert, Mo. Doris Joyce of Essex, Genevive Joyce of Newnan, Ga.; and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased are her parents; one granddaughter, Emily Violet Wood; and one sister, Leona Hammond of Utah.
