Search S. Dalrymple, 76, of Union Township, Died Tuesday, Oct 21, in Lehigh Valley Hospital.
He was a dairy farmer most of his life in Union Township.
Born July 17, 1921, in Union Township, he was a son of the late Clifford B. and Nellie C. Stires Dalrymple.
He was a member of the Eastern Draft Horse Association.
He owned draft horses and participated in horse-pulling contests, winning many trophies during 35 years. He also pulled antique steamers to parades for numerous fire companies.
He and his wife, the former Werna L. Arnesen, were married 55 years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by six daughters, Patricia Woodward and Cathy Wilson, both of Whitehouse Station, Norma Reid of Califon, Linda Sherrerd of Bethlehem, Lois Hermann of Pittstown and Arlene Phillips of Alpha; two sons, Search Jr. of Lebanon and Tom of Freemansburg: a brother, Earl of Bethlehem; three sisters, Pauline Trach of Center Valley, Arlene Pascoe and Audrey Amith, both of Hampton; 17 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A brother, Wayne died in 1969.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday from the Martin Funeral Home, 1761 Route 31, Clinton. Call 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Union Township.
The family requests memorials to the High Bridge Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 14, High Bridge, NJ 08829; or to the Bethlehem Presbyterian Church, 2 Race St., Pittstown, NJ 08867.
