Mrs. Ola Pearl Matteson, Mokane, died Sunday morning at the Charles E. Still Hospital in Jefferson City.
Mrs. Matteson was born Sept. 9, 1908, at Mokane. She was a daughter of George and Alice Bean Adams. She was a member of the Mokane Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband, Arthur Matteson; her mother, Mrs. George Adams, Fulton; a son, George Harry Teeters, Tulsa, Okla.; a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Summers, Holts Summit; four brothers, Clyde Adams, Jefferson City, Paul Adams, Mokane, Edward Adams and Ray Adams, Fulton; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Love and Mrs. Bernice Dillon, Mokane, and Mrs. Virginia Reichert, St. Louis; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two children.
Funeral services will be at 2 p. m. Tuesday at the Mokane Christian Church with the Rev. Elmer Reichert officiating. Interment will be in the Mokane Cemetery. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
MRS. ARTHUR MATTESON DIES SUNDAY MORNING; SERVICES HELD TUESDAY
Mrs. Arthur Matteson passed away early Sunday morning at the Charles E. Still Hospital in Jefferson City after an illness of about two years.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Mokane Christian Church with the Rev. Elmer Reichert, of St. Louis, brother-in-law of the deceased, delivering the funeral sermon, and interment was in the Mokane Cemetery.
Mrs. Matteson, who had observed her 59th birthday the day before she died, was born at Mokane a daughter of the late George Adams and Mrs. Alice Adams. She was married to Arthur (Finis) Matteson, in September, 1940, and had spent nearly all her life in this community.
Besides her husband she is survived by her mother, Mrs. Alice Adams, of Fulton; two children, Mrs. Virginia Summers, of Holts Summit and George Harry Teeters, of Tulsa, Okla.; eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn her passing the following brothers and sisters: Clyde Adams, of Jefferson City; Paul Adams, Mrs. Mary Love and Mrs. Boyd (Berniece) Dillon, of Mokane; Mrs. Elmer (Virgie) Reichert, of St. Louis; and Ray and Ed Adams of Fulton. She also leaves a number of nieces and nephews
