Portsmouth--Effie Pauline Oliver, 83, of the 1600 block of Bain St., died July 30, 1992 in Abingdon, Va.
Mrs. Oliver was born in Huntington, W.Va. she was a member of Portsmouth Christian Church and was the widow of Robert Hilton Oliver Sr.
Survivors include three daughters, Delores Gwaltney of Johnson City, Tenn., and Ruth Ormond and Evelyn Lewis, both of Portsmouth; a step-daughter, Agnes McNeil of Williamsburg; a son, Ronald Oliver of Chesapeake; three stepsons, Henry M. Oliver of Salem, Oregon, Durwood Oliver of Durham, N.C., and Robert Oliver of Richmond; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Loving Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. Friends may join the family from 7 to8 p,m, today in the funeral home.
