Services for Lillie V. Gerland-Gattis, 86, of Temple were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 28, 2009, at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple with the Reverend Ron Winsman officiating. Burial followed in Ocker Cemetery. Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m., April 27 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Gerland-Gattis died Friday, April 24 in a Temple assisted living center.

She was born August 5, 1922 to Vince and Bertha Wetzel Schiller in Bell County. She was a lifelong resident of Bell County. She worked for Baugh Shoe Factory and Kress Department Store in Temple. She was a member of Ocker Brethren Church.

She was preceded in death by husbands Albin Martinek, Jerry Pavelka and Walter Gerland.

Her husband Walter, of Rockdale survives.
