Luvicy Blaylock departed this life January 12th, at the home of Dr. R. D. Blaylock of Sedgewickville, Bollinger County. She was born, raised and lived in Perry County all her life, until a short time ago she went to live with the Doctor to help care for an infant child that had been left him by the death of its mother. (...) Luvicy, as she was commonly called, was born February 8th, 1839,making her, at the time of her death, 72 years, 11 months and 4 days old. She was a daughter of William Penny, deceased. She was the last one of her family, her father and mother and two sisters dying long ago. She was first married to William Cashion, and to that happy union was born 4 children, 2 of them dying in infance, the others being A. B. Cashion of this county, and Dr. C. B. Bowman's wife of Longtown. During the war Mr. Cashion died leaving the subject of this sketch to fight the battles of life with two small children. She was next married to james A. Blaylock. He died also, leaving her with four children; C.F., T.I., Drs. R.D and George Blaylock.....
