Jeanette "Jean" M. Ballard

Jeanette "Jean" M. Ballard, 76, died Friday, July 16, 2004, at her residence in Abilene.

Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Hamby Baptist Church with Rev. Tracy Dean officiating. Burial will be in Willow Cemetery in Haskell directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.

Ms. Ballard was born to Georgia (White) and Olin Kile on February 26, 1928, in Putnam, Texas. She was a security officer for OSI Security for 17 years, and worked at Timex for 26 years. She was also project manager for the Gospel singing group, Southern Grace. Jean was a member of Hamby Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by a son, Lynn Bradshaw (September, 2003); her parents; and a sister, Melba Jean May (September, 2001).

Survivors include a son, Harold Wayne Bradshaw and wife, Judy, of Abilene; daughters, Debra Baron and husband, Keith, of San Antonio, and Linda Bassinger and husband, Rodney, of Corpus Christi; a brother, James Edwin Kile of Ukiah, CA; an adopted sister, Ellen Hilliard of Abilene; ten grandchildren; and 19 great- grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Steven Little, Joe Little, Cody Sparks, Larry Short, Leonard Bradshaw, Jr., and Michael Graves.
