Distinguished men and women of the State were present at this ceremony and the Courier-Journal gave a four column picture of the elm tree, the bronze marker, and the assembled crowd, with a beautiful picture of Mrs. Hutchcraft in an inset.
Mrs. Hutchcraft was a woman of high ideals, keen intellect and vision., and counted it a privilege to be identified with the worth-while undertakings of her community. The hospitality of her home was ever gracious and genuine, and perhaps no one was more generally known or more sincerely beloved.
Mrs. Hutchcraft is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Mary Fithian Hutchcraft Dawes, wife of Clarence Colliver Dawes, cashier of the National Bank and Trust Company, and Miss Helen Hutchcraft, and by a granddaughter, Dorcas Ashbrook Dawes, all of Paris.
