James Hunter Spurlock is listed on the Confederate Graves Registry as buried in Ty Ty Cemetery. They quote his Confederate Service record saying he was a Private in Co. B of the 45th GA Infantry from 1862-65. See ID# 89236. cgr.scv.org They note he has NO MILITARY MARKER.

Husband of Emily (Chapman) Spurlock and son of James Madison Spurlock and Katherine Ann (O'Banion) Spurlock.
James' tombstone birth date is April 16, 1832. However, this date doesn't check with the 1860-1870-1880 censuses which all show him born in 1831. The best information on his actual birth date is Nov 28 1830 which is consistent with the above censuses.
