Mr.Easterling was born September 6, 1918, in Givhans,S.C., the son of the late Sylvester Guess and Amanda Virginia Cummings Easterling. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and a retired
crane operator with the Charleston Naval Shipyard. He is survived by one son, Clifford R. Easterling of North Charleston, S.C.; two
daughters, Valma Easterling Coward of North Charleston, Bonnie J. Easterling Perry of North Charleston, S.C.; one sister, Mildred James of Sterling, Va.; one half-sister, Adele Fralix of St. George, S.C.; two halrothers, Wendell Easterling of Dorchester, S.C., and Wesley
Easterling of Washington, D.C.; three grandchildren, Philip R. Perry of Winthrop, Maine, Joseph Perry of North Charleston, S.C., and Sharee Coward of Columbia, S.C., and three great grandchildren.
