"Death takes Zella Rivers"
Mrs. Zella Rivers, wife of Joseph S. Rivers of Occidental was suddenly seized with heart failure Tuesday afternoon while at the Jovine School awating her daughter to do the evening work. Before medical aid could be reached, Mrs. Rivers passed away.
Deceased was a native of Michigan and was fifty-four years of age. Mr. and Mrs. Rivers moved to the Occidental Section six years ago from Colorado.
Besides the husband, the following children are mourning her loss. Frank Rivers of Santa Rosa, Mrs. Eva Libby, Mrs. Edith B. Cmelik, Miss Ada Rivers, and Miss Rose Rivers.
Coroner Phillips held the inquest Wednesday mourning and pronounced death due to heart failure. The funeral was held Thursday afternoon from the B. F. O'Leary undertaker Parlor with the Rev. W. P. Rankin officiating. Internment was made to the Sebastopol Cemetery.
