Gary Lynn Lederle

Gary Lynn Lederle, 49, of Fulton, died Tuesday, July 3, 2001, in Jefferson City.
He was born Dec. 6, 1952, in Fulton, to Fred Eugene and Dorothy (Matteson) Lederle. He married Tamara Heilwagen on Sept. 19, 1981, in Amarillo, Texas. She survives in Mexico, Mo.
Other survivors include his father, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; his mother, Dorothy Opperman of Holts Summit; his foster mother, Margaret Matteson; a son, Jacob "Jake" Lederle of Mexico; four sisters, Carol Robertson of Wake Forest, N. C., Sharon Dean of Oneco, Fla., Phyllis Bush of Fulton and Debbie Hoover of Arkansas; and three brothers, Gene and David Lederle of Cedar Rapids, and Kenny Opperman of Holts Summit.
His foster father preceded him in death.
Mr. Lederle attended Fulton schools, and he served in the U. S. Air Force. He was employed by Big O Tires in Columbia.
A private viewing for immediate family was held at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton. A public memorial service, under the direction of the family, will be at 11:30 a.m. today in the Engle Pavillion at the Fulton City Park. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Maupin Funeral Home.

Gary Lynn (Matteson) Lederle, 48, of Fulton, died July 3, 2001, in Jefferson City, Missouri. He was born December 6, 1952 in Fulton, the son of Fred Eugene and Dorothy (Matteson) Lederle.
He married Tamara Heilwagen on September 19, 1981 in Amarillo, Texas and she survives in Mexico, Missouri. Other survivors include a son, Jacob "Jake" Lederle of Mexico, Missouri, his mother, Dorothy Opperman of Holts Summit, his foster mother, Margaret Matteson, with whom he made his home; his father, Fred Lederle of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; four sisters, Carol Robertson of Wake Forest, NC, Sharon Dean of Oneco, Fla., Phyllis Bush of Fulton, Missouri and Debbie Hoover of Arkansas; Three brothers, Gene Lederle and David Lederle of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Kenny Opperman of Holts Summit. He was preceded in death by his foster father, Elvin Matteson.

Gary was raised by Marion Elvin & Mary Margaret Matteson. He was never adopted but sometimes used the Matteson name.
