Donald John McGuffin, 47, of Port Huron, died Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at St. Joseph Mercy Port Huron.
He was born July 12, 1961 in Port Huron, the son of the late Dale and Virginia Barck McGuffin.
Donald was a 1979 St. Clair High School graduate.

He began working at Simmons Saddlery in Richmond, then operated it for nearly 15 years showcasing his love of horses. He was a cowboy at heart.
Don also worked for Lear Corporation in quality control.

He was a hard working and caring man, a wonderful brother, uncle, and friend who unselfishly took care of others.

Surviving are three children, Teri McGuffin of Taylor, Christopher (Tracy) McGuffin of Port Huron, and Jessica (Ray) Pigg of Taylor; eight grandchildren; nine sisters and seven brothers-in-law, Ann Marie Lashbrook, Susan (John) Fuller, Donna (David) Stuben, Bonnie (Dennis) Schmidt, Kathleen Burkhardt, Debra (Walter) Woods, Vicki (Harry) Hall, Teri (Robert) McIntyre, and Nancy (Thomas) Friedsberg; six brothers and four sisters-in-law, Dale (Dolly), Patrick, Michael (Lisa), Ronald (Michelle), Lee (Marlena), and Joseph McGuffin; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

He is preceded in death by a sister, Becky Babcook and a brother, Jerry McGuffin.

His family honors the memory of Donald with a memorial service at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 20, 2008 at Faith Lutheran Church, Port Huron. Pastor Tim Eichberger will officiate.

Cremation arrangements were provided by Kaatz Funeral Directors, Capac.
