thomas d. holbrook of otsdawa who was so serioualy injuyed on the trolley line above mt. vision on wednesday eveing of last week. died of peritonitis at the fox menorial hospital tuesday eveing july 23d it will be recalled that mr. holbrook who had beed at his saw mill above mt. vision went to stop 51. intending to take car. there was densefog and the motorman did not see him until about 100 feet when he could not make the stop quickly he ran by the point where mr. holbrook was standing and the latter was sturck by the step of the car his right leg being broken and his abdomen bruised the latter injuries which at first where least feared became in the end the more dangerous peritonitis developed and for two or three days his condition was critical his death therefore was not unexpected thebody was taken yesterday to mr. holbrook old home in otsdawa where the funeral will be heid the deceased was a son of mr. and mes. otis l. holbrook of otsdawa and was about 35 years of age he was a most worthy industrious young man of excellent habits and diligent in business and a wide ciacle of friends will mourn his death he had been in the lumber business for about three years besides his parents mr. holbrook is survived by six brothers and four sisters and hisdeath makes a sad break in a very happy family the surviving brother and sisters are robert of schuyler lake and virgil and mrs.viola richandson of morris and mes.maude davis and john & susie & adelaide holbrook of otsdawa ziba holbrook of hartwick mr. holbrook was a member of the morris tent knights of maccabees
